2nd Form [Video | Action]
[The observant will instantly recognize this place as Good Spirits Bar. The wall, at least. Mihawk is seated at the corner of the bar, looking down at the journal with a deeply unhappy expression on his face. Those who know him better might recognize the fact he looks also mildly irritated, supremely tired and in dire need of alcohol. Which is why he is at the bar in the first place.]
I have been informed that several members of Straw Hat's crew are currently present in this place. I would be most--
[he pauses a moment, reconsidering his wording. ...nah, screw it.]
--grateful,
[let that sink in for a moment]
if one or all would make their way to the bar and pick up a certain something in my possession that I am most certain belongs to them. We are at the Good Spirits bar.
[Another pause.]
...this invitation does not extend to you, Red Hair.
[He needs to at least pretend you're not going to drop by and make his life harder than it already is. Even though he knows you're going to come anyway. Blah.]
[Action]
[Should you come looking for Mihawk after such a... particular message, you will find him sitting in the corner of the bar, as previously mentioned, surrounded by several empty mugs of beer, elbows on the bar and face delicately cradled in his fingers. His large, black sword is propped against the wall by his side and his hat is helping obscure his face.
And if you're really, really observant, you might realize there's a certain greenhaired urchin, tired up and gagged, tucked under his stool and partially hidden by the fall of his coat.]

[ IT'S HORRIBLE ]
Lookie what I found.
[It's a traaaap.]
OH MY GOD IT'S BEAUTIFUL
ISN'T IT
[Pause.]
Unfortunately. That is when the whining starts. I suppose she's still terrified of you.
IT REALLY REALLY IS
[ he's so put out about all this. ]
BEST FACE
[Oh hey, that's the drunk finally starting to kick in. And it only took him what? Twenty mugs of beer?]
TOTALLY
You really are drunk.

[He sighs dramatically, actually resting his chin on a hand and contemplating the deep mysteries of life in the bottom of an empty mug of beer.]
I zm merely taking stock on the last two years of my life. And the fact I will gladly trade you fearful respect for over-familiar squealing and the constant complaining and the incessant whining and the patent inability to be quiet.
[...he had a point and he's lost it, so I suppose he might actually be drunk. It's been a long day and he totally isn't annoyed that his ghost girl is gone.]
I detest children.
no subject
I think she's a little old to be called a child.
no subject
And yet she is so remarkably good at acting like one.

Very astute observation.
[A beat and a scowl.]
I was trying to ignore that fact.
no subject
[ a beat. ]
Why are you trying so hard to ignore it?
no subject
[There is a pause and half a mug of beer gone.]
That is a lie, I admit. I can take it. My temper might not, though.
no subject
[ a beat ]
Though it might be best to wait until you're a little more sober.

[I'm having a moment here, man. Can't you keep your priorities straight?]
no subject
sorry couldn't resist 8D
SNORE
[right through his gag.]
You're a precious creature made of pure perfection.
[Mihawk's wayward remark got lost under the fact. Well. His coat seemed to be snoring. He leaned over to look at the boy, balancing remarkably well for someone as utterly wasted and sort of. Just. Deadeyed the brat. Then he looked at Shanks, casually pointing a finger down at the snoring kid.]
This. This is going to eventually replace me.
[His life is suffering and no one understands.]

At least it's not a Marine?

[He knows what you're doing, you goddamn smug ass. He will have his dramatic moment and you will not ruin it.]

I am not being melodramatic.
[He totally is.]
